Now one of the things that you want to think
about too is that you’ve already been putting on all this adhesive layer onto here. It’s
kind of hard to go in with your tracing paper now while it’s still wet and decide on an
area that you want to sort of design out. So you may want to let it sit and dry. It
doesn’t take too long. Or while you’re doing that, one of the things you can be doing in
between is going up to pieces that you have of the same tone because of certain areas
like this that can just be sort of filled in and don’t need to have a tracing happen,
have a nice straight edge on them already, perhaps that’s kind of one of the things and
tricks that I do is that I look at the edge and corner of a paper and go, “oh, that actually
works nicely. And I’ll cut that one piece off because I’ve saved myself from having
to cut a perfect corner edge. And so then I’ll take and make a shape out of it that
isn’t quite the same as the rest. And look at how easy that would fit right inside of
that part there. So I don’t actually have to make this perfect corner edge, because
as we know, that’s probably one of the most difficult things to achieve when you’re cutting
some paper. Unless you have a perfect measurement done, this is a much quicker way of working.
And you see how I can just lay that out right onto there are and it’s perfect.
